Els Pecats Capitals
Suite Sinfónica
La humanidad es los siete pecados capitales y su lucha o vencimiento o más generalmente fracaso. Sin su glosa, no habría arte: holgarían el teatro, la novela, el pincel de los artistas… Los pecados capitales trepan sobre el perfil del hombre, como hace la vid sobre la estaca. ¡Los pecados capitales tienen dificilísimo remedio!
I.- Avaricia. Envidia
“Avaricia”. Lo quieres todo porque crees que eres lo que tienes, y no tienes… ¡Nada!. Eres sólo una sombra proyectada a los pies de los demás. Crees poseer pertenencias y son ellas las que te poseen a ti.
“Envidia”. Libido y angustioso. ¡Imbécil! Arrastras tu grillete de fracasado y no te das cuenta que tus ladridos sólo te rebajan más. Ríes por fuera ante los méritos ajenos mientras tus propias palabras te queman en el interior. ¡Envidias! Porque te avergüenzas de lo que eres, y te duele que otros sean y posean lo que nunca harás tuyo.
II.- Pereza. Lujuria
“Pereza”. Dices que eres calmado… ¡Doméstico! Nunca tienes prisa porque has nacido viejo. Se te llena la boca de mañanas y nunca haces nada, luego, te dices calmado. ¡Parásito! tu vida sólo es un lastre para los demás
“Lujuria”. ¡Placer! Te crees insaciable porque nada te basta. Dices que lo pruebas todo y siempre necesitas más. Nunca tendrás suficiente porque tus deseos son sólo el reflejo de tus carencias.
III.- Soberbia. Gula. Ira
“Soberbia”. ¡Arrogancia! Dices que el miedo es la mejor arma para ganarse el respeto. Nunca perdonas, te crees juez y verdugo cuando te impones, sólo, sobre quienes son mas débiles que tú… ¡Ridículo! En realidad necesitas demostrarte algo a ti mismo porque sabes que no le importas a nadie.
“Gula”. Dices que eres de buen comer, que te gusta vivir bien. No te preocupa tu imagen ni que no coman los demás. ¿También le morderías la mano a tu madre para no pasar hambre?.
“Ira”. ¡Rabia! Sientes como se acumula en tu interior. Tus músculos se tensan, tu sangre hierve y tu mirada se hace terrible. ¡Odias! Todo aquello que tú nunca llegarás a ser.
Esta obra relata mediante sonidos y ritmos todas y cada una de las malicias descritas anteriormente. Resultando así, una obra de sonoridades estrepitosas y de colores armónicos con una gran belleza tímbrica.
“Els Pecats Capitals”, está compuesta entre los días del 24 de Mayo al 13 de Junio de 2004 por encargo del Instituto Valenciano de la Música (IVM) para interpretarse como obra obligada en la 1ª categoría del “XXVI Certamen Provincial de Bandas de Música” en Cheste (Valencia) el día 24 de Octubre de 2004.
Humanity is the seven deadly sins and their struggle or expiration or more generally fail. Without their gloss, there would be no art: holgarían drama, the novel, the brush of artists … The deadly sins climb on the profile of the man, as does the vine on the stake.The deadly sins are very difficult choice!
I. Greed. Envy
“Greed”. You want it all because you think you are what you have, and you have … Nothing !. You are only projected at the feet of the other shadow. You think you own belongings and they are the ones that will possess you.
“Envy”. Libido and distressing.Moron! Drag your shackle failed and you realize that your barking only demean you more. Laugh out before the merits of others while you burn your own words inside.Envy! Why are you ashamed of who you are, and others are hurt and possess what ever do yours.
II. Laziness. Lust
“Sloth”. You say you’re calm … Domestic! Never hurry because you were born old. It fills your mouth mornings and never do anything, then you say calm.Parasite! your life is just a burden to others
“Lust”.Pleasure! You think insatiable because nothing will suffice. You say you try everything and always need more. You never have enough because your desires are just a reflection of your shortcomings.
III. Superb. Gula. Anger
“Pride”.Arrogance! You say that fear is the best weapon to earn respect. Never forgive, do you think judge and executioner when you impose only on those who are weaker than you … Ridiculous! You really need to prove something to yourself because you know that no one cares.
“Gula”. You say you’re a big eater, you like to live well. Do not you care about your image or not to eat the other. You also morderías would you hand your mother rather than starve ?.
“Ira”.Rage! Feel like accumulates inside you. Your muscles tense, your blood boil and your look is terrible.Hate! Everything that you never come to be.
This work relates with sounds and rhythms each and every wickedness described above. Thus resulting in a work of thundering sounds and harmonic colors with great tonal beauty.
“Els pecats Capitals” is made between the days of May 24 to June 13, 2004 commissioned by the Valencian Institute of Music (IVM) to be interpreted as forced labor in the 1st category “XXVI Provincial Music Band Contest” in Cheste (Valencia) on October 24, 2004.
